Gîtes with swimming pool in the Cevennes in southern France: atmosphere, comfort and nature
The atmosphere is cosy and pleasant on a small scale. It is peaceful and natural here. The three gîtes (2 to 6 persons) are part of an impressive 17th century Cevenole farmhouse in the middle of nature of the Cevennes in the south of France. Situated in a very quiet location in a valley of the river Cèze, it is the ideal place to relax.
The Cevennes is a nature reserve (National Park Cévennes) in the south of France, located in the sunny department of the Gard. Nature and culture are beautifully divided here so that you can enjoy both pleasures to the max. The breathtaking natural beauty and picturesque towns and villages of the Gard and Ardèche are easily accessible. The towns and villages invite you to stroll through the streets, dine on a terrace or browse through a market.

Our spacious, chlorine-free swimming pool is the ideal place to relax and refresh yourself. People meet here and it is the favourite hangout for young and old. You might read something, have a drink ……. the real “Douce France”.
And of course there are also some beautiful natural bathing spots in the area; such as Lac de Villefort or one of the many rivers in the region. With rocks to take a dive and beautiful waterfalls. We know the most lovely places and can show you the way.
Pleasant and cool in summer thanks to the “medieval air-conditioning”
Our farmhouse dates back to the late Middle Ages and is built in natural stone with impressively thick walls. It is not only beautiful but also very pleasant when it is hot, keeping it pleasantly cool inside. We call this our “medieval climate control”; a pleasant climate without the disadvantages of modern air conditioning.
There are a thousand things to do in the region
Situated in the Cevennes (Gard) in the south of France, close to the Ardèche, you will find everything you need to plan beautiful outings. For example, you will find the Gorges de l’Ardèche half an hour away and the Pont du Gard an hour away.
The Cevennes, a great challenge for the sportive cyclist
The sportive cyclist will be pleased with several kilometres of beautiful cycle tracks. This part of France is popular among cyclists who like to tour in early spring and late autumn. Hikers will find their ideal starting point for beautiful hikes in the Cévennes
Le Miracle is at the intersection of three walking areas with very different character and landscape. It is therefore an ideal location for beautiful walks through the varied countryside of the South of France.

Cevennes National Park, naturally!
Le Miracle is located on the edge of the Cévennes National Park. Here you will find mountains and valleys, rivers and rugged high plains (Causses). Together they make the Mediterranean agro-pastoral cultural landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nature enthusiasts, people who appreciate peace and spaciousness will feel at home here.
